Summary of the Job:

executes scheduled tasks in the linen room and distributes clean linen throughout the facility.

Essential responsibilities and duties:

delivers fresh bedding to the various hospital departments.
if on the second shift, cleans all soiled carts from all floors.
takes orders from hospital staff and follows them.
ensures the delivery of all exchange carts to the floors. Guarantees all dirt material has been gotten and taken to the getting dock.
assures that each soil cart is full; plans for consolidation if incomplete.
immediately notifies the supervisor of any issues or concerns.
Guarantees that material room is left perfect and coordinated toward the finish of the shift.
builds carts that are clean, neat, and organized to set a standard par level.
cleans the linen room as needed—sweeping, mopping, and picking up as needed.
Opens new material for handling. adjusts carts as needed and stages them. as assigned, performs additional tasks.
